In Philippines, we call it Lolo and Lola. Yet they passed already when i am still 12 years old. Even i am 34 now, i just wished they watch me go to stage in every awards or graduation. Lucky are those who still have grand pa's and grand ma's. They have some memory in life with their old's. I like your blog so i added a link of your blog. I wished i still have old parent. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this, but glad to find out that your father is doing better. My father became ill (Alzheimer's in his case) and had to be moved nearby so that we could oversee his care in 2003. I lost him in 2007. I know that caretaking can be challenging and heartbreaking.
